Where this was shot

Red carpets and premieres on the Lido during the Venice Film Festival; runway and backstage at Milan and Paris fashion weeks and at Monte Carlo; the Croisette at Cannes; the Monaco Grand Prix weekend; and private evenings that do not have a name in the calendar. Each set was shot on a booked job, not gathered from an archive.

The written coverage of many of these nights lives in VT Magazine, which is where a show gets its story rather than just its picture.

Stills and motion, separately

Everything here was photographed and filmed as two distinct crafts, by two people. It is the reason a Visual Twins evening produces both a frame that holds up printed and a vertical cut that works the same night, instead of one good version and one compromise.

The moving work has its own page: red carpet videography.

Using these images

Every photograph on this page is ours, and none of it is free to reuse. Licensing for editorial or brand use is arranged case by case, and the press kit is the right starting point for a publication.

If you were at one of these events and are looking for photographs of yourself, those are not here: they live on VT Media, where a selfie finds them. Find my photos.
