The Venue: Yacht Club de Monaco as a Natural Stage

Monaco, April 15, 2026. The thirteenth edition of Monte-Carlo Fashion Week ran from April 14 to 18, offering a packed program of runway shows, exclusive events, and conferences dedicated to the future of international fashion.

Taking the spotlight at the Yacht Club de Monaco, Genny chose the stunning backdrop overlooking Port Hercule one of the Mediterranean's most iconic harbors for a spectacular show that perfectly mirrors the Principality's discreet, cosmopolitan idea of elegance. The choice was no coincidence: the venue's clean lines, sea views, and sophisticated atmosphere provided the ideal setting for a collection aimed squarely at the heart of contemporary luxury.

The Collection: Between Present and Future, Sara Cavazza Facchini's Vision

For the occasion, the brand presented a selection from its Spring-Summer 2026 fashion show alongside a preview of the Fall-Winter 2026–2027 collection. This dual temporal register recent past and near future clearly mapped out the creative direction of the Maison. Under the direction of Sara Cavazza Facchini, the proposal expressed a contemporary femininity through fluid silhouettes, lightweight materials, and a sophisticated elegance in perfect harmony with the Mediterranean atmosphere of the Principality.

The creative director explained her choice of Monte-Carlo in her own words: "I am happy to be showing with Genny at Monte-Carlo Fashion Week, in a city that has always embodied elegance, glamour and international allure. Monte-Carlo, with the prestige of the Principality and its cosmopolitan atmosphere, is the ideal setting for a fashion week that celebrates creativity, innovation and new visions of fashion."

International Guests: A Front Row Worth Watching

The evening of April 15th drew a remarkable international crowd to the Yacht Club's front row. Among those seated for the Genny show were Laila Hasanovic, partner of Jannik Sinner, Eleonora Pedron and Julia German. Genny's official Instagram described the front row as "a distinguished gathering that reflected the composed elegance and international stature that defined the occasion." Swedish model and international fashion personality Vicktoria Sildvred was also among the evening's notable attendees, adding further international visibility to an already star-studded event.

The New Metropole Boutique: From Event to Permanent Presence

The evening extended well beyond the runway finale. Alongside the show, Genny inaugurated its first boutique in the Principality, inside the Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo a new destination conceived as an immersive space consistent with the brand's contemporary identity, and a strategic move that transforms its participation in MCFW from a visibility exercise into a permanent commercial footprint.

As Sara Cavazza Facchini put it: "At this point in Genny's journey, I am particularly happy to bring the brand to the French Riviera, getting even closer to our women who want to feel beautiful, modern and so chic." The message is unambiguous: Monaco is no longer just a runway stop, but a key new market.

Naples Behind the Scenes: the Paduano Academy in the Backstage

One of the evening's lesser-known but most meaningful details unfolded behind the curtain. When the lights came up at the Yacht Club for Genny's inaugural show, Naples was in the backstage: around fifty students from the Accademia Liliana Paduano, led by the Neapolitan institute's faculty, handled the makeup exclusively for every runway show at Monte-Carlo Fashion Week 2026.

An institution with over 46 years of training fashion and beauty professionals, with a 100% job placement rate, the Academy had already made its mark at Milan Fashion Week earlier in 2026. Genny's show with its dual identity of runway and retail, fashion and strategy opened a memorable week and confirmed the Principality's role as an indispensable hub of European luxury.
