The Show: a Title, a Story, an Exceptional Venue

Monaco, April 17, 2026. On the afternoon of the fourth day of Monte-Carlo Fashion Week 2026, the Espace Léo Ferré hosted the "De midi à minuit" show, bringing together collections designed by fashion design students from Florentine school Polimoda.

The title itself tells a story from the clarity of midday to the depth of midnight, from the ease of daywear to the drama of the evening and it shaped the entire arc of the runway presentation. This dialogue between educational institutions and arts spaces highlights the event's commitment to visual experimentation and the work of young creatives, offering a framework that brings together teaching, research and performance.

For the young Florentine designers, stepping onto the runway of an international fashion week represents a formative experience of the highest order, one that opens doors and perspectives impossible to replicate in a classroom.

The Collaboration with Pavillon Bosio: Two Academies, One Shared Vision

The most distinctive aspect of the event was the co-production model at its heart. The staging was entirely conceived by students from the École Supérieure d'Arts Plastiques Pavillon Bosio of Monaco: two academies, two countries, a single show that communicated the event's generational and educational ambitions more powerfully than any press release.

On one side, the young designers of Polimoda one of Europe's most prestigious fashion schools, based in Florence at the heart of the Made in Italy tradition. On the other, the students of Pavillon Bosio, Monaco's Academy of Fine Arts, tasked with building the visual dramaturgy and set design for the show.

A meeting of disciplines of fashion and visual arts and of cultures Italian and Monegasque that produced something far greater than a student showcase: a fully realised performance in which every element, from the initial sketch to the final backdrop, was the product of a shared and youthful creative vision.

The Significance: MCFW as a Platform for the Next Generation

Polimoda's presence at Monte-Carlo Fashion Week is not an isolated episode, but reflects a precise curatorial choice by the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode. The inclusion of Polimoda underlines the event's commitment to supporting generational renewal in the fashion industry.

In a calendar dominated by established houses such as Genny and Twinset, carving out a space dedicated exclusively to young creatives sends a clear message: the future of fashion is built in the studios and classrooms of Europe's great design schools.

Mayor Georges Marsan expressed the Commune's pride in supporting these initiatives, highlighting the Fashion Scenography programme offered for the third consecutive year at the Pavillon Bosio as a training pathway in full expansion. Monaco, once again, confirms itself not only as a stage for established luxury, but as an incubator of young, international talent.
